Volunteers Heartbroken as Senior Pup Who Became Staff Favorite Scheduled To Die

Imagine being admitted to a holding facility where the odds are stack up against you, before you ever make it to your kennel space? For many dogs who enter the Miami-Dade Animal Services, only 1 in 5 either find a forever family, or a foster to save them from becoming just another statistic.

For one pup named Jordan who has been at the MDAS since August of 2016, he is clinging to the hope that he doesn’t become another statistic himself. The 10-year-old pup who shelter staff say is the most charming, loving, kind and affectionate pup they have ever had the pleasure to know, is struggling to find a home.

Two shelter staff members who wished to go unidentified for this story say that they have done everything in their power to preserve his life at the MDAS, because Jordan is that special. Most animals who enter the MDAS are given just a few weeks, and sometimes even days to find a home before they are “humanely euthanized.” With this fact established, it is nothing less than a miracle that Jordan is alive.

Sadly, Jordan has broken down emotionally, and has given up all hope of finding a forever family. Facebook advocacy group named Save The Dogs of Miami said of Jordan:

“Jordan is sweet, tender, loving and kind. Come fall in love! He doesn’t have much time left, he’s been at the shelter since 9/9/16-a miracle!”

If you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the MDAS at 305-884-1101 and reference the shelter ID #A1230637.

Additionally, please share this story on Facebook or Twitter so we are closer to finding Jordan the forever family he rightfully deserves. We have done it before and can certainly do it again. ❤️
