My mother always used to tell me how tough life is. She also used to tell me that life was unfair and that you could work hard, and still end up with very little. For one dog named GERTIE, her diligence in trying to find a forever family is just not paying off.
6 year old female Chihuahua, who makes a temporary home in confined kennel space at the notorious Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California, has all but given up. Sweet GERTIE is scared and overwhelmed after her family left her at the Shelter so she hides in her pillow. Sad indeed.
