Depressed Pup Living In Kill Shelter, Wondering Why No One Wants To Take a Chance On Her
When we humans are rejected, most of us get right back up, brush the dirt of our shoulders, and keep charging forward in life. We, humans, are resilient, and if the history of our ancestors who braved conditions and scenarios we could never imagine in modern day times is any indication, we are natural born survivors. It’s in our DNA.
Dogs on the other hand, rely on us to take good care of them. They depend on us for more than food, and general care; dogs rely on us for love, and emotional guidance. When we are feeling sad and blue, a dog is one of the only living souls that could console our hearts without reservation and judgment.
Unfortunately, for one dog named Zeana, also known as Warrior Princess, her owner didn’t reciprocate the love she expected after 3 years of loyalty and devotion. Zeana’s family didn’t want her anymore, and so one day, they let her out of the house and onto the streets. They made sure to locked the doors so she could not enter the home any longer a betrayel so stunning, I cried when my source told me the story.
Today, Zeana makes a temporary home at the high-kill Miami-Dade Animal Shelter(MDAS) where she has very little time to find a new loving forever family. The once jovial, tail wagging pup who had all the hope in the world, now makes a cold concrete slab as the only solace for the tears she cries before she sleeps. All is not lost for the depressed pup because thankfully for Zeana, there is you.
