Terrified 3-Year old Pup Dumped at Kill Shelter, “Get Me Out!”, As His Owner Walked Away
Volunteer writes "I like the name, Santino. A saint…maybe this is what our Santino would be in caring, experienced and loving hands. Santino is big, black and beautiful, much too strong for me. His looks, though, got me carried away, and I had to take him out. He barks in his kennel. “Get me out!” A nice staff offered her help and together we handled Santino. Santino is always in action. One hundred pictures yielded only a few usable ones. He is quite a friendly and social guy who can get all worked up if one stimulates him. Then, he starts jumping, mouthing like a huge puppy and do silly things one does not care to deal with. He does not sit on command but surprisingly gives his paw."
Another volunteer writes "Note that he is friendly with Sapphire and that he is not showing any aggression toward the other dogs on the other side of the pen. He is very strong, may be never saw a leash, easily excitable and one is a big dog like him, there is a need for training. He is gorgeous (so is Sturgill), very high energy and if there is or are other dogs, slow introductions are needed.
