After He Dumped Him Off At Kill Shelter, Heartless Owner Strips Senior Dog of Collar and Toys
The Carson Animal Shelter is one of the last places on earth you would expect to find hope. As you enter the place, the acrid smells of dogs and cats in varying stages of declines hits you worse than that off-putting smell that fills the air, too pungent to describe. There is no shower, or doggy day spa for dogs at Carson because the situation for every pup living in kennel space is as precarious as jumping out of a plane without a parachute.
Simply put, Carson is a scare factory, especially for smaller dogs, who cower in fear at the noise and chaos of dogs barking day and night hoping someone, anyone, might hear and feel the pain they go through. For one senior pup named Dusty, he can tell you all about heartbreak if he could talk. According to an anonymous shelter volunteer present at his intake, Dusty’s owner walked into the shelter and surrendered him without a reason given. Furthermore, to add insult to injury, before he left the terrified and confused Dusty all alone to fend for himself at the notoriously high-kill facility, he stripped of the only two things he had left: his collars and toys. Sad indeed.
A Petharbor listing for Dusty reads:
A kill shelter is no place for a senior pup to live especially in the golden years of his life and we can change that. SpeakUP, if you or someone you know is interested in giving this precious pup the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Carson at (310) 523-9566 and reference the shelter ID #A5026950.
Additionally, please share this story of Dusty on Facebook or Twitter, so we are closer to finding him the forever family he rightfully deserves. We have done it before and can certainly do it again.
