After Being Abused, Abandoned, And Bounced Around, It's Time That We Find Sally Her Forever Home

After being found by a Good Samaritan In a dangerous neighborhood, Sally was in jeopardy of being sent to the ACC. Although we only know a small part of Sally's history, we are able to put some of the missing pieces together based on her behavior, body language, and different experiences with dogs and people.

Based on what we observed, it is very clear that Sally has been abused by a man in her short 3 years of life. She warms up to women a lot easier but will come around and smother men with kisses once she realizes they are not a threat. Unfortunately, Sally doesn't always give a great first impression. It takes time for her know to know that she's never going to be hurt again, so a patient, compassionate, dedicated owner would be best. While she was playful with dogs at one point, all of the bouncing around she has done has really taken its toll on this gentle soul. Her advocates are willing to continue to do meet and greets with other large, well balanced/ well socialized dogs, but we know that deep down inside, she would love to be your one and only. Sally has lived with a cat in one of her foster homes, but a meet a meet and greet is a must. Sally would do best in a low traffic home, as too many people can be overwhelming for her. Therefore, an adult only home would be best.

She has a lot of energy that she enjoys burning off by going for walks, runs, bike rides, or hikes and would love an owner as active as she. Deep down inside, Sally is one of the most gentle, kind, loving, affectionate, loyal dogs you will ever meet. It's unfortunate that people don't give her the chance to show them how special she really is.

Please give this little lady a home for the holidays as she has been searching for a place to call her own for far too long. Sally needs the opportunity to show you her true colors and all of the unconditional love she is made of. She has proven to her advocate time and time again that she is resilient and ready to put her past behind her, all she needs is the right person to come along and give her that opportunity.
