Abandoned Rotti Dumped at High Kill Shelter, Is Just Too Depressed Lift His Head Anymore
Life at the high kill Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS) is a chaotic mess to say and write the least. The noise, just by itself, is enough to keep your ears ringing for days. What are the sounds you may ask? They are the sounds of desperation, anger, fear, and uncertainty as dogs loudly bark in tightly confined kennel space hoping their prayers are answered.
For one dog, a Rottweiler named Bruce, the MDAS has become his own personal nightmare. The pup, who when first brought to the shelter was as upbeat and enthusiastic as they come, is a former shadow of himself. Sadly, he has given up as shelter patrons often routinely pass him up for other dogs. All Bruce can do for now is peer out of the bars in his kennel wondering when the sadness will end and the tears stop flowing.
At this time of the year, Bruce should be wearing a Santa hat and sleeping under the tree waiting until Christmas to open his presents. Instead, he makes a cold concrete slab the only solace from the pain.
A Petharbor listing for Bruce reads,
“I am an unaltered male, black and brown Rottweiler. The shelter staff think I am about 6 years old. I have been at the shelter since Dec 14, 2016.”
If you or someone you know is interested in giving Bruce the forever family he rightfully deserves, please contact the Miami-Dade Animal Services at (305) 884-1101 and reference the shelter ID #A1837765. Additionally, please share this story on Facebook so we are closer to finding Bruce he deserves.
We have done it many times before and can dot it again.
