Dog Rescued From Hoarding Situation Longs For A New Home
The lovely Leelah is hoping to hang her stocking at your place this Christmas!
Leelah arrived at the shelter back in September after her dad was hospitalized. It was soon discovered that Leelah's dad was hoarding animals and their were over 120 on his property. These babies have had a pretty rough life, and are hoping for a second chance.
Leelah is shy, but very sweet! She lets me pick her up and carry her and she's incredibly smart. When it's her turn to get her kennel clean she walks out and sits in the laundry room across from her kennel. She watches the workers clean it and when they are done cleaning it she goes right back in her kennel for a nap.
She finds comfort in other dogs and would do really well in a home with a confident friend by her side. Leelah would so appreciate to he in a home where she can feel safe and loved. Leelah is a 6-8 year old, heart worm positive, lab/dachshund mix located at the Lee County Animal Shelter in Bishopville, SC 29010.
