11-Months Old Pup Surrendered and Tossed Away Like Garbage By Her Family into a Kill Shelter

This pretty little girl is so grateful to be out on a walk she just about prances with joy. She makes me want to skip along, too! Though Ivy still has a bit of growing to do, she is already tremendously poised and gentle, and has come a long way from the scared dog she was just days ago. She can sit still, whether treats are forthcoming or not, and does not have the puppy tendencies to jump up on people or try to turn their hands into a teether.

She is instead finely attuned to her handler, instantly sensing when to slow down or walk another way, and thrilling at any praise. Ivy perks up and gazes kindly when we encounter a group of admiring school kids - maybe they remind her of her former family? - and is calm meeting other dogs and adjusting well in play groups. She is already so well-rounded here, and would truly blossom in a home of her own. Meet Ivy soon at Brooklyn ACC!
